Powerful Technology for On-Site Oil Analysis

The PAL (Portable Analyzer for Lubrication) is an extremely small mid-IR fingerprint region spectrometer specifically designed for on-site oil analysis.

The PAL was designed to give the user the capabilities of a much larger, laboratory FTIR system without the complexity, maintenance requirements or cost . The software is de­signed to provide immediate answers to the user without the need to understand infrared spectroscopy. With the touch of a button, the PAL system provides valuable information about the condition of a lubricating fluid. This allows the user to make quick decisions in the field and then make an immediate assessment of the remediation step.

A One Minute PAL Analysis Yields:

• Water - monitor for intrusion at very low levels

• Oxidation - Measure oxidation and nitration by-product formation as they occur

• Additive Depletion - accurately determine critical additive levels such as anti-oxidant, anti-wear and extreme pressure additives

• Contamination - ensure the proper lubrication has been shipped to you and that it is fit for service before accepting delivery.

Simple to Use - Minimal Training Required

With the PAL’s innovative sampling interface, no sample preparation is required and only 2 drops of sample is needed for analysis. The analysis take less than 2 minutes and cleanup takes seconds. Because the PAL’s software and user interface are intuitive, no technical training is required to use the system. Screen prompts assist the user in perform­ing an analysis and the results are presented in an easy-to understand format.

 

 

 

ML/MLp

The MicroLab (ML) is available with a variety of sample interfaces for enhanced sensitivity and to improve quantitative results. Single and multi-reflection disks have been engineered using a patented diamond and ZnSe composite. Diamond is the world’s most durable sub­stance and a ZnSe substrate is used for maximum IR signal.

The MicroLab (ML) is an extremely small mid-IR fingerprint region spectrometer specifi­cally designed for sample analysis in challenging, multi-user environments. The heart of the system is a patented, rugged interferometer field proven to be used in any environment. The ML was designed to give the user ultimate flexibility in where to use the system whether it’s a traditional analytical lab, a temporary field lab or even in the field.

The ML was designed to give the user the capabilities of much larger, traditional FTIR benches in a significantly more compact size. It is simple to use and will analyze an excep­tionally broad range of liquids, powders, pastes and gels. With the touch of a button, the ML provides valuable information about the identity and amount of chemical substances present in a material.

EXOSCAN

The Exoscan™ is a portable, handheld, battery operated FTIR analyzer designed to measure a wide variety of solid and liquid samples. Weighing approximately 7 pounds including the data system and batteries, Exoscan is designed for both in lab and out-of-lab use.

Exoscan Features:

• Highly rugged, miniaturized modulator with large diameter optics and very fast, short internal optical path which provides performance equal to or better than conventional laboratory FTIR spectrometers.

• Interchangeable ATR and external reflectance sample interfaces.

• PDA based control panel that wirelessly links to a laptop for upload and download of data, methods etc.

• Onboard, rechargeable lithium ion battery that permits more than 3 hrs. of continuous operation.
